A member of the Paris Bar, Amélie-Lou Blouin joined the firm in 2024 after practising with a leading US law firm. With a focus on domestic and international arbitration proceedings, she acts as counsel for clients across a wide range of sectors, including the aerospace, construction, energy and luxury industries. She also advises on complex business law matters, including post-M&A disputes.
Amélie-Lou has particular experience of arbitration proceedings conducted under the aegis of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) and the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID). She has also gained experience acting as Tribunal Secretary in a bilingual ICC commercial arbitration.
After having grown up in Western Africa and Northern Africa, Amélie-Lou obtained a double degree in English law and French law from King’s College London and Université Panthéon-Sorbonne (Paris 1), as well as a double degree in Global Business Law and Governance from City University of Hong Kong and Université Panthéon-Sorbonne (Paris 1). To further her dual legal training, Amélie-Lou recently passed the Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE) to become qualified in England & Wales. She is currently applying to be admitted to the roll.

- Co-counsel in arbitration proceedings between companies manufacturing transport and security infrastructures across Europe (ICC rules, French law, conducted in French)
- Counsel in the pre-litigation phase of a dispute between a legal and tax consultancy firm and an auditing group (English law, conducted in English)
- Counsel in mediation proceedings between a franchisee and a multinational company in the food retail industry (CMAP, French law and equity, conducted in French).
- Counsel in arbitration proceedings between European defence companies concerning the interpretation and enforcement of environmental warranties (ICC Rules, French law, conducted in English)
- Counsel in post-M&A arbitration proceedings between a State entity and a telecommunications company concerning the termination of a public contract in Latin America (ICSID, French law, conducted in English)
- Research Assistant to Ms. Kim M. Rooney (Hong Kong-based Arbitrator, Mediator and Barrister and member of the ICC International Court of Arbitration)
